A departure from Dartmouth
Created in 2005, the Classic Channel Regatta organizes its own races for a week around the “cans” in Dartmouth, during a crossing of the English Channel and around the Island of Bréhat. It brings together competitors from England, France, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
This year, the regatta will take place from July 10 to 16 with a start from Dartmouth, two days of racing in Start Bay and a finish in Paimpol on July 13th. For one day the fleet of boats will be in the center of Paimpol to celebrate the National Day of July 14th. This will be followed by the race around the Île de Bréhat and the “dance of the Classics”, a parade on July 15th. The finalization of the regatta with the award ceremony and the crews' evening will be held on July 16th.
420 nautical miles
This new edition will be part of a great novelty. The Paimpol Classic Channel Regatta has teamed up with a new partner, the Yacht Club Classique de La Rochelle (YCC), which will organize its own arrival.
The course of the Classic Channel Regatta thus increases from 100 to 420 nautical miles on the following course: Dartmouth, Paimpol, Tour de Bréhat, Paimpol, Camaret, La Rochelle.
